Introduction
UPSC Engineering Services Examination 2025: Union Public Service Commission
(UPSC) has published notification (Examination Notice No: 02/2025- ENGG) for Engineering Services (Preliminary)
Examination 2025. The eligible candidates (male/female/transgender) can
apply for 232 vacancies under categories of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and
Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. The online application form for this exam can be
filled from 18th September,2024 till 8th October, 2024(6
pm). Candidate must have a degree in Engineering for admission to this
examination. Candidates applying for UPSC Engineering Services Examination 2025
(Preliminary) must be aged between 21 to 30 years. The selection process of
candidates to qualify this examination has three stages. Stage 1- Preliminary
Examination. Stage 2- Main Examination, Stage 3- Personality Test. Interested applicants

the online application.

passed Graduate Membership Examination of the
Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India) OR
passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and
III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India OR
passed Graduate Membership Examination of the
Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November,
1959 OR
A candidate who has appeared final Engineering
Degree examination and waiting for the result and the passing of which would allow
him/her educationally qualified for this examination, can apply. |
Candidate must have
attained the minimum age of 21 years and must not have attained 30 years of
age on 1st January, 2025, i.e.
candidate must have been born not before 2nd January, 1995 and not after 1st January,
2004.
Upper Age Relaxation for SC/ST Candidates/Other Backward Class candidates/ Defence
Services personnel, disabled in operations during hostilities with any
foreign country or in a disturbed area, and released as a consequence
thereof. Ex-servicemen including
Commissioned Officers and Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs) / Short
Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs), Person with Benchmark Disability are

Candidates who
are declared qualified by the Commission in the Preliminary (Stage-I
Examination) will be called for the Main (Stage-II Examination). ·
Candidates,
please note there will be Negative Marking for wrong answers in the Preliminary
Examination (objective type) question papers. ·
There will be 4
options for the answers to every question. For every wrong answer marked by
the candidate, 1/3rd of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted
as penalty. ·
If in any
question no answer is given by the candidate, there will be no negative
marking for that question. |

and qualify the merit as may be fixed by the Commission, will be called for

Application Process

Step 1:
Candidate must carefully read the notification and keep the documents ready before
filling up the online application to avoid any mistakes.
Step 2:
Visit the official website www.upsconline.nic.in
The process
of filling online application for UPSC Engineering Services Examinations 2025 consists
of two stages:
I. To create One Time Registration 2. Filling
of online Application for the Examination
Step 3: To
create One-Time Registration, enter details and then click “Register Now” link
provided in the website.
Step 4: Now
Login to online system by entering your Registration Number and Password.
Step 6: Fill
up the required information for online application form.
Step 7: Upload
your photograph. (The photograph of the candidate should not be more than 10
days old from the filling of the application commencement date. Candidate must
ensure that the name of candidate and the date on which the photograph was
taken are clearly mentioned on the photograph. The candidate’s face should
occupy at least 3/4th of the space in the photograph).
Step 8: Upload
your Signature.
Step 10: Fee
payment to be done by the candidate if you are not exempted for fee payment.
The
applicants must ensure that, they are providing their valid and active E-Mail
IDs while filling their Application Form.
Candidate
must have his photograph and signature duly scanned in the .jpg format not
exceed 300 KB and must not be less than 20 KB in size for both photograph and
signature before filling up online application form.
After submission of application form candidates must
take the printout for his/her own records.
