Officers Short Service Commission (SSC): Flying Branch

20 to 24 years as on 01 January 2025 (born
between 02 January 2001 to 01 January 2005 (both dates inclusive)). Upper age
limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Li cense issued
by DGCA (India) is relaxed to 26 years (born between 02 January 1999 to 01
January 2005 (both dates inclusive)).
Educational Qualifications
Passed 10 +2 with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics.
Graduation (minimum three years degree course) in any discipline from a
recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent
OR
Four Year BE/B Tech degree from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.
OR
Candidates passed Section A & B examination of Associate Membership
of Institution of Engineers (India) /Aeronautical Society of India from a
recognized University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.
Final year students are also eligible to apply provided candidate should
not have any back paper and should have secured a minimum of 60% marks at the time of AFSB testing and they have to
submit provisional/ original degree issued by the University as per the date mentioned
in the advertisement.

WEAPON SYSTEMS (WS) BRANCH
Candidates passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and
Physics and
Three year Graduation degree course in any discipline from a recognized
University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.
OR
BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognised University with
minimum 60% marks or equivalent.
ACCOUNTS BRANCH
Responsible for financial management of funds.
Educational Qualifications
Passed 10+2 and completed graduation in any of the following streams
with 60 % marks or equivalent from a recognized university: -
B.Com (minimum three year degree
course)
BBA (with specialization in Finance)/ BMS (with specialization in
Finance)/ BBS (with specialization in Finance)
Qualified CA/ CMA/ CS/ CFA.
B.Sc. Degree with specialization in Finance.
LOGISTICS BRANCH
Officers will be responsible for materials
management of all Air Force resources.
Educational Qualifications
Passed 10+2 and 3 year Graduate Degree in any
discipline from a recognised university with 60% marks or equivalent or cleared
section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of
Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised university
with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
EDUCATION BRANCH
Educational Qualifications
Passed 10+2 and post-graduation with 50% in
any discipline including integrated courses offering PG (Single degree without
permission to exit and lateral entry) and with 60% marks in Graduation in any
discipline
METEOROLOGY BRANCH
You would be involved handling
the latest satellite imagery and state-of-the-art monitoring equipment as a
Meteorology Branch Officer, you would render specific advice to the operators
on all aspects of weather.
Educational Qualifications
Passed 10+2 and B.Sc with Physics and
Mathematics with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent or four year Graduation
in Engineering/Technology discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent
in the following streams:-

IAF offers Commissioning payment (As per 7th CPC).
Allowances. In
addition to pay, Commissioned Officers eligible for allowances based on the
nature of duty/ place of posting and it includes Flying, Transport, Technical,
Field Area, Special Compensatory for Hill area/ Special Force/ Siachen/ Island
Special Duty/Test Pilot & Flight Test Engineer/ Area and Remote Locality
Allowance, etc.
Privileges: Air
Force Officers are eligible for furnished accommodation, comprehensive medical
cover for self and dependents, Canteen, Officers’ Mess, loans at subsidised
rates, LTC etc. Leave (60 days annual/ 20 days casual), subject to service
exigencies.
Insurance: Rs. 1.10 crore on contribution Insurance Cover
is applicable to serving officers. An additional on contribution cover of Rs.
15 Lakhs will be applicable to Flying Branch Officers.
The following Pay / Allowances would be applicable on grant of Commission:
Pay Band (Common to all Branches) - Rs 56,100/ Month (The officer will
be placed in Level 10 in the Pay Matrix of 7th CPC - 56,100-1,77,500)
MSP :- Rs 15,500 Per Month
