recruitment notification for Technical Graduate Course (TGC – 143) which will commence in Jul 2026 at
Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun for Permanent Commission in the Indian
Army. Unmarried male engineering
graduates aged between 20 to 27 are eligible to apply for this post. Total number of
vacancies are 30. The
online application form will be available from 8th October 2025 till
6th November 2025. The selection process for this post is based on

Process
Selection process for Technical Graduate
Course (TGC – 143) will be as follows:
Shortlisting
of Application forms
Note. Candidates will be shortlisted based on
their eligibility criteria and in a vacancy to call up ratio decided by Indian
Army.
Allotment of Selection Centre.
After shortlisting of applications, candidate
will be intimated about centre allotment via their email. After allotment of
Selection Centre, candidates need to login to the website and select their SSB
dates which are available on a first come first serve basis initially. After that,
it will be allotted by the Selection Centres.
Conduct of SSB
Only shortlisted and eligible
candidates depending on the cutoff percentage based in their engineering degree
will be interviewed at one of the Selection Centres viz. Prayagraj (UP), Bhopal
(MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka) and Jalandhar (Punjab) by Psychologist, Group
Testing Officer and Interviewing Officer.
Candidates will undergo through two
stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage-1 will go to Stage-2. Those
who fail in Stage-1 will be returned on the same day. Duration of SSB
interviews will be 5 days, and details of the same will be available at
official website of Directorate General of Recruiting www.joinindianarmy.nic.in . Next step is medical examination for the
candidates who get recommended after Stage 2.
Joining Pre-Commission Training Academy
(PCTA)
Candidates recommended by the SSB and
declared medically fit, will be issued Joining letter for training in the order
of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available, subject to meeting
all eligibility criteria.

Candidates who have passed the Engineering Degree
course or are in the final year of Engineering Degree course are eligible to
apply. Candidates studying in the final year of engineering degree course
should be able to submit proof of passing Engineering Degree Examination
along with marksheets of all semesters/years by 01 Jul 2026 and produce the
Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement
of training at Indian Military Academy (IMA). |

Training Process
(a) Selected
candidates will be given training at Indian Military Academy, Dehradun
according to their final merit (engineering streamwise).
(b) Duration
of training after selection will be of 12 Months.
(c) During
training period Candidates will neither be allowed to marry nor he will be
allowed to live with parents/Guardians. Candidates can not marry until they
complete the full training at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.

Application Process
If you are

Candidate
can fill up the application form through online mode only. For that candidate
has to click on the ‘online application’ button on the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in
Next candidate
has to Click on ‘Officer Entry Apply/Login’ and then click ‘Registration’.
Fill in the
online registration form after reading the instructions carefully.
After
getting registered by the candidate, click on ‘Apply Online’ under Dashboard. A
page Officers Selection ‘Eligibility’ will open. Then click ‘Apply’ shown
against Technical Graduate Course. A page ‘Application Form’ will open.
Next read
the instructions carefully and click ‘Continue’ to fill details as required
under various segments like Personal information, Communication details,
Education details and details of previous SSB (If any). Candidate need to ‘Save
& Continue’ each time before he goes to the next segment.
After
filling details on the last segment, he will move to a page ‘Summary of your
information’ wherein he can check and edit the entries already made. Only after
checking the correctness of details, click on ‘Submit’.
Candidates
must click on ‘Submit’ each time he opens the application for editing any
details. The candidates are required to take out two copies of their
application having Roll Number, 30 minutes after final closure of online
application on last day.
Candidates,
please note Self-attested copy of following documents along with their
originals are to be carried to the Selection Centre by the candidates: -
(i) One copy
of the Print out of application duly signed and affixed with self-attested
photograph.
(ii)
Matriculation/Secondary School Examination certificate or equivalent
certificate and marksheet issued by the concerned Board of Education.
(iii) 12th
class marksheet and certificate or Equivalent certificate/ Diploma marksheet
and certificate (Diploma holders).
(iv)
Engineering Degree/Provisional Degree issued by the recognised university.
Provisional Degree should not be more than six months old at the time of the
candidate joining the Academy.
(v)
Marksheets of all semesters/years.
(vi)
Certificate issued by the Controller of Examination/Registrar of the concerned
University regarding formula for conversion of CGPA/ Grades into marks followed
by the University.
(vii) If a
candidate is final year appearing, a certificate issued by the Controller of
Exam/Registrar/Dean of the concerned University or Principal of the College
regarding cumulative percentage of marks upto 6th semester/3rd year of Engg
degree, upto 8th semester/4th year of B. Architecture (B.Arch) and upto 2nd
semester/1st year of M.Sc. in notified stream/ discipline as per
Rules/Guidelines of the University.
(viii)
Certificate from the Principal/ Head of the Institution stating that the
candidate is studying in final year and his result will be declared by 01 Jul
2026.
(ix)
Declaration by the candidate of final year Engineering degree course that he
will submit the proof of passing Engineering Degree Examination along with
marksheets of all semesters/years by 01 Jul 2026 to Directorate General of
Recruiting, failing which his candidature will be cancelled (for final year
appearing candidates).
(x) Candidates are required to carry documents
related to civil verification.
All
certificates in original to be carried by the candidates for SSB Interview for
verification. Originals will be returned after verification at the Service
Selection Board itself.
The second copy of the printout of online
application is to be retained by the candidate for reference. There is no need
to send any hard copy to DG Recruiting.
Candidates must submit only one online
application. Receipt of multiple applications from the same candidate will
result in cancellation of candidature, and NO representation will be
entertained in this regard.
