UPSC CAPF(ACs) Examination 2024: Union Public Service Commission
(UPSC) has issued notification (Examination Notice No: 09/2024- CPF) for Central Armed Police Forces
Examination 2024 for the post of Assistant Commandants under BSF, CRPF, CISF,
SSB & ITBP. Total number of Vacancies are 506. The online application form can be
filled from 24th April,2024 till 14th May, 2024(6 pm).

UPSC CAPF(ACs) Examination 2024: Selection
Process
UPSC Central Armed Police
Forces (CAPF) Examination 2024 selection process will be as
follows.
1. Written
Examination: UPSC will conduct the written examination which will
comprise of two papers. Paper I -General Ability and Intelligence & Paper
II - General Studies, Essay and Comprehension - In paper II candidates are
allowed the option of writing the Essay Component either in English or Hindi,
but in the medium of Precis Writing, Comprehension Components and other
communications/language skills candidates has to write in English only. Commission
has fixed minimum qualifying marks separately in each Paper in their discretion
to qualify for next round. First Paper-I will be evaluated and evaluation of
Paper-II will only be done for those candidates who get the minimum qualifying
marks in Paper-I.
2. Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical
Standards Tests: Candidates who have qualified in
the written examination will be asked to attend the Physical Standards/Physical
Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests.
3. Interview/Personality Test: Candidates who have qualified in the Medical Standards
Tests, will be allowed to attend Interview/Personality Test which will
conducted by UPSC. Those Candidates who are short-listed for
Interview/Personality Test, will be given a Detailed Application Form (DAF) where
they will be required to indicate their preference of Forces along with other
details.
4. Final Selection
/ Merit List: The final
merit list will be declared on the basis of marks obtained in the Written
Examination and Interview/Personality Test by the candidates.

Paper I : General Ability and Intelligence 1. General Mental Ability: To test the logical
reasoning, quantitative aptitude including numerical ability, and data
interpretation. 2. General Science:
General awareness, comprehension and appreciation of scientific phenomena
like Information Technology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science. 3. Current
Events of National and International Importance: Candidates awareness to be
tested of current events of national and international importance in culture,
music, arts, literature, sports, governance, societal and developmental
issues, industry, business, globalisation, and interplay among nations. 4. Indian
Polity and Economy: Candidates knowledge will be tested in the political system
of the country and the Constitution of India, social systems and public
administration, economic development in India, regional and international
security issues and human rights including its indicators. 5. History of
India: The questions will cover the subject in its social, economic and
political aspects. Question will also include the areas of growth of
nationalism and freedom movement. 6. Indian and World Geography: The questions will
cover the physical, social and economic aspects of geography pertaining to
India and the World
Paper II : General Studies, Essay and Comprehension Part-A –
Essay questions which are to be answered in long narrative form either in
Hindi or English (Total- 80 Marks). The indicative topics are from modern
Indian history especially of the freedom struggle, geography, polity and
economy, knowledge of security and human rights issues, and analytical
ability. Part-B – Comprehension, précis writing, other
communications/language skills – to be attempted in English only (Total- 120
Marks) – The topics are Comprehension passages, précis writing, developing
counter arguments, simple grammar and other aspects of language testing.

I. To create One Time Registration 2. Filling
of online Application for the Examination

create One-Time Registration, enter details and then click “Register Now” link

Step 4: Now
Login to online system by entering your Registration Number and Password.
Step 5: Fill
up the required information for online application form.
Step 6: Upload
your photograph.
Step 7: Upload
your Signature.
Step 8: Fee
payment to be done by the candidate if you are not exempted for fee payment.
The
applicants must ensure that, they are providing their valid and active E-Mail
IDs while filling their Application Form.
Candidate
must have his photograph and signature duly scanned in the .jpg format not
exceed 300 KB each and must not be less than 20 KB in size for the photograph
and signature before start filling up online application form.
After submission of application form candidates must
take the printout for his/her own records.
