(i) Must have
Master's Degree in concerned subject from a recognized University with 50% marks in aggregate and possess two years Post Graduate Master's
Course or integrated six years Post Graduate Master's Course from Regional
College of Education (RCE) recognized by
NCERT in the concerned subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. (ii) B.Ed. or equivalent degree recognized by
the NCTE, New Delhi as equivalent with B.Ed. from a recognized University.
B.Ed. qualification is not the mandatory
eligibility criteria for the post of PGT in the subjects where B.Ed. course
is not offered.
(iii) Degree or
Diploma in Computer Application is desirable qualification subject to
production of the certificate in support of above qualification received from
a recognized University / College / Institution having affiliation to a
recognized University

Odia and have - (a) Passed Middle School Exam with Odia as one of
the Language subjects.
or (b) Completed matriculation or equivalent
examination with Odia as medium of examination in non-language subject.
or (c) Passed Odia as one of the language subjects in
the final examination of Class-VII from a School or Educational Institution
recognized by the Govt. of Odisha or the Central Government.

OPSC PGT Recruitment 2024 – Selection Procedure
Selection Process for the recruitment to the posts of
Post Graduate Teachers will be conducted in the following stages -
1. Written examination with MCQ pattern
2. Personality Test and Interview
Written Exam Details:
a) The objective
(MCQ pattern) Written Examination will consist of three papers Paper-I,
Paper-II & Paper-III.
b) Paper-I will
consist of General English -50 marks & General Knowledge -50 marks. Paper 1
will have 100 questions and carry a total of 100 marks. The duration for
Paper-I will be of 2 hours.
c)Paper-II will
comprise of questions from the concerned optional subject (paper I) with 100
questions and will carry 100 marks. The duration of Paper-II will be 2 hours.
d) Paper-III will
comprise of questions from the concerned optional subject (Paper-II) with 100
questions and will carry 100 marks. The duration of Paper-III will be 2 hours.
e) There will be
negative marking for wrong answers and for each wrong answer, 25% of marks will
be deducted of the allotted marks to that particular question.
f) 33% is the
minimum qualifying marks fixed by the Commission taking together all the 03
papers (Paper-I + Paper-II + Paper-III), irrespective of categories.
g) Candidates,
secured such minimum qualifying marks in the written exam, will be called to
appear at the Personality Test and Interview carry 30 marks which is to be
conducted by the Commission.
