online applications from eligible unmarried male candidates for recruitment as Sailors
for Senior Secondary Recruits in Medical Branch (SSR Medical Assistant). The
course will be commencing from November 2024 . In this article candidates can

Introduction
Indian
Navy Sailors Recruitment 2024: Indian Navy has issued recruitment notification for SAILORS (Senior
Secondary Recruits Medical Assistant) in Medical Branch from eligible unmarried
male candidates. The online application process will begin from 7th
September, 2024 and the last date of filling up the online application form is 17th
September, 2024. Applicants must read the notification (Link given below)
properly before filling up the online application form. Candidates applying for
Indian Navy Sailors Recruitment 2024 must be born between 1st Nov,
2003 – 30th April,2007. This is an excellent opportunity for
students who have passed 10+2 with PCB and want to make career as Sailor (SSR Medical
Assistant) in Indian Navy. Selection of candidates will be based on two stage

Application Process

Step 2:
Before registration candidates are requested to read the Official notification
carefully.
Step 3: Candidates
has to do the Registration with valid E-Mail ID and mobile number.
Step 4: Read
instructions carefully and click - Continue.
Step 5:
Candidate has to LOG IN with his registered E-Mail ID and Click on CURRENT
OPPORTUNITIES.
Step 6: Click
on APPLY button.
Step 7: Candidates need fill up the application form completely before clicking the SUBMIT
button make sure all the information entered are correct, all required
documents are properly scanned & uploaded.
Recent colour
Passport size photograph (taken not before April 2024) of size 10 KB to 50 KB
(front portrait in light background without head gear except for Sikhs). This
passport Photograph has to be taken with candidate holding a black slate in
front of his chest with his name and date of photograph taken, clearly written
on it with white chalk in capital letters. Change in appearance like growing
beard, head gear, etc. in comparison to the photograph may result in
cancellation of candidature.

Recruitment 2024: Selection Process
Indian Navy Sailors (SSR Medical Assistant) selection process
2024 will be carried out in two stages.
Stage I – Shortlisting of the candidates will be based on marks
obtained in 10+2 or 12Tth Std Exam with Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
Stage II
- PFT, Written Examination and Recruitment Medical Examination – Shortlisted candidates from stage I
will be issued call letter for Stage II (Physical Fitness Test, Written Examination
& Recruitment Medical). Stage-II will be conducted in the designated Indian
Navy’s centers. Call up
Letters cum Admit Card for Stage II will be scheduled in mid Oct 2024. Respective
date, time and place, would be informed by end of Sep 24/ early Oct 2024.
Candidates would be required to download the call letter from the official
website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in. Only Electronic mode or online mode of
communication will be used to contact the candidates and no documents (hard
copy) would be sent by post at any stage of recruitment process. Candidates are
requested not to change the mobile number and Mail-Id till the recruitment
process is over.

Indian Navy Sailors Recruitment 2024: Pay Scale,
Allowances and Other Benefits
Pay Scale
& Allowances.
During the training period candidates will get a stipend of Rs 14,600/- per
month. On successful completion of training, Candidates will be placed in Level
3 of the Defence Pay Matrix (Rs 21,700- Rs 69,100). In addition, candidates will
be paid MSP @ Rs 5200/- per month plus DA.
Promotion. Promotion prospects also exist for
the candidates. They can go up to the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer-I,
i.e. Level 8 of the Defence Pay Matrix (Rs 47,600- Rs 1,51,100) plus MSP @ Rs
5200/- per month plus DA (as applicable).
Opportunities for promotion to commissioned
officer in Indian Navy is also exist for those candidates who perform well and
qualify the prescribed examinations and clear Services Selection Boards.
Perquisites.
(a) During the entire period of training and thereafter, sailors are
given books, reading material, uniforms, food and accommodation as per
entitlement.
(b) Sailors
are eligible for medical treatment, Leave Travel Concessions (LTC) for self and
dependents, Group Housing Benefits and other privileges are also available.
Sailors in Indian Navy are also privileged to annual and casual Leave, Children
Education and House Rent Allowances. Post retirement Sailors will get pension,
gratuity and Leave encashment. All perquisites are extended as per service
conditions and their eligibility/admissibility is regulated as per Government
orders in force and amended from time to time.

cover (on contribution) of Rs 75 lakhs for sailors is applicable.
