(a) Before
filling up online application form Candidate must read the details of this
Advertisement which is available in the OPSC Website.
(b)
Candidates has to apply online only through the website of the OPSC https://opsc.gov.in/Public/OPSC/Default.aspx
(c) The automated
and system driven online application form will guide the candidate in filling
the application. Candidate must ensure that accurate information is fed Before
filling up the information.
(d)
Candidates will be asked to upload the scanned image of latest passport size
photograph / scanned image of full signature / scanned image of Left Hand Thumb
Impression (LTI) in online Application.
(e) On
submission of the online application form, a Unique "Permanent Public
Service Account Number (PPSAN)" will be given to the applicant. it is
important for Candidates to take a print out of the finally submitted online
application form.
NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:
Any
candidate appearing for the Civil Services Examination, who is eligible, willl
be permitted 06 (six) attempts for the examination: Provided that-
(1) There will
be no limit for the S.C. and S.T. candidates for attending the exam.
(2) For Socially
& Educationally Backward Class candidates the number of attempts
permissible will be 9, who are otherwise eligible.
VI. Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications

have a Bachelor's Degree from any University recognised by University Grants
Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by Central Government.
OTHER ELIGIBILITY and CONDITIONS
It is mandatory for the Candidate to be able
to read, write and speak Odia and have-
(a) Passed
Middle School Exam with Odia as one of the Language subject, or
(b) Passed
High School Certificate or equivalent examination with Odia as medium of
examination in non-language subject, or
(c) Passed Odia as one of the language subject in the
final examination of Class-VII from a School or Educational Institution
recognized by the Govt. of Odisha or the Central Government, or
(d) Passed one
of the test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the School
& Mass Education Department of Govt.
of Odisha
Age Limit
Understanding
age limits is crucial, as it varies for different categories of candidates.
A candidate
must attain 21 years of age and must not
above 38 years of age as on 01/01/2023
.Candidates must not have been born before 2nd January, 1985 and not after 1st
January, 2002.
The upper
age limit is relaxed by 05 (five) years for
SC/ST/SEBC/ Women/ Ex-Serviceman candidates and by 10 (ten) years for PWDs candidates with
disability of 40% or more.

Syllabus and Exam Pattern
The Examination
consist of two stages:-

Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
and
il. Main
Examination (Written and Interview)
The
Preliminary Examination consists of two compulsory papers of objective types
(Multiple Choice Questions) carrying
maximum 200 marks each and each
paper shall be of two hours duration.
(a) General
Studies-Paper-I-200 marks
(b) General
Studies-Paper-II-200 marks
The Main
exam carries 2000 marks including 250 marks for interview/personality Test.
