POWERGRID JE, Surveyor, Draughtsman Recruitment 2024 – Selection Process

The two-stage selection process consists of 1. Written Test through Computer Based Test of eligible candidates and 2. Trade Test of shortlisted candidates. Applications of candidates for Junior Engineer (Survey Engineering), Surveyor, Draughtsman will be scrutinized and shortlisted based on the Job Specification, Relaxation and Concession given and as per the documents uploaded by the candidates. Hence, candidates are requested to be very careful while uploading the relevant documents during application form fill-up.

Written Test: The questions in the Written Test will be of Objective type of 2 hours duration consisting of two parts – Part-I consists of Technical/Professional Knowledge Test (TKT/PKT) with 120 questions having specific questions from respective discipline/Branch.  Part-II consists of Aptitude Test (AT) with 50 questions consists of vocabulary, verbal comprehension, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, data sufficiency & interpretation, numerical ability etc. All questions carry equal marks (1 mark each). Wrong & multiple answers would result in negative marks of ¼.

Trade Test: The Trade Test for candidates will be Qualifying in nature. Qualifying marks in Trade Test will be 40% for Unreserved/ EWS and 30% for reserved category candidates. Trade Test marks shall not carry any weightage in final merit.
